I just got back from Portugal and Spain with Ashley where we spent four days just enjoying life. Meaning we closed every restaurant we went to, drank amazing wine, wandered around two beautiful cities, and took some time to slow down and just be. It got me thinking that
- I was made to live in a European city with all the romance and perceived nostalgia they bring.
- I need to practice enjoying my life right now, as it is.
I need to practice enjoying my life as is. Meaning, that maybe there is actually here. Or just that I don’t need to focus on wherever there is so much. There is already taking care of itself. There is taken care of. I believe God and the Universe got that.
Next week will bring about the end of the first quarter of 2018. If you’re anything like me, you have a list of projects and goals for the year and are starting to take note of where you’re at in relation to it.
Guess what? I’m actually on track with mine. I don’t feel that way though. I don’t feel that way because I rarely take time to stop and take stock of not only where I’ve been, but where I’m at. Where I’m going is important too, but I can’t get there without giving my all in the here, in the right now.
There is here. Here is now. Now is all we’ve got.
This one life, one moment, one meal, one whatever applies to your life right now.
As we enter spring, I hope we take a second to smell the roses.
A second to pause and enjoy life as is.
I know the last week has been a great exercise in that for me. I feel recharged and ready for Quarter two.
