The weather is finally changing. To me, fall means darker tones, warm apple cider, changing leaves, and bringing out some heat. Fall is when we see who can really dress (and by no means am I implying that I fit that description lol).
I used to not really wear dresses and wouldn't be caught just walking around town in heels. I guess ya girl is finally growing up - blame grad school.
After two months in Philly, I'm finally starting to get out, explore, and feel at home here - both on campus and off. It's weird to be going to school in a city and able to experience all of the benefits that brings by way of plays, concerts, art shows, great restaurants, and so much more. Penn/Philly is a nice change of pace from Cornell/Ithaca. And this dress is a nice twist on today's slip dress trend.
It is of course a slip dress, but didn't make me feel like I was walking around in a nightgown/my pajama's. And, it's a dress that can do both. Be dressed up or dressed down. Go from class to date night and back.
Shopping during this transition to "adulthood" (the jury is still out on whether or not grad school counts towards that) has been fun and I'm enjoying developing a wardrobe that speaks to who I am now as a person and where I've transitioned to in life.
