Women’s Watches: Where to Shop for Unique Timepieces this Spring

To be early is to be on time; to be on time is to be late. As a kid, my mother always told me that. I also always admired my parent’s watches. This, of course, meant I couldn’t have one until I reached “a certain age.” For whatever reason, my parents associated wearing a watch, like red nail polish and certain outfits with being “grown.” I remember the first real watch I was allowed to wear, a deacon at my church gave it to me, meaning I couldn’t not wear it since it was a gift. The watch was made by Candies which was all the rage in the early 2000s where I lived, and I wore it until the strap was faded and gross. Needless to say, I’m grateful for the taste that first watch gave me of being grown but enjoy the watches I wear now even more.

Enter in JORD Watches. I had heard about them through Instagram because a few friends of mine worked with them on campaigns. So, when they reached out to me about creating the very campaign you’re reading, I was over the moon. JORD is a luxury watch company offering minimalist, sustainable, and unique wooden watches to the world.

I choose the Cassia Watch in Ebony & Sable because it’s color and material is different from any other watch I own, but very much still in line with my style and vibe. I also got my wooden watch engraved with the names of my current and future businesses to celebrate this wonderful opportunity from JORD.

The process for ordering and engraving the watch was very straightforward. They even asked for my wrist measurements and gave me a handy dandy print-out ensuring accuracy to make sure it fit perfectly (which it does). The watch is beautiful and great for everyday wear. I was a bit worried about my wooden watch interacting with water, but JORD assured me that regular water interaction (washing hands, doing the dishes etc.) won’t be an issue and even provided me with finishing oil to help protect the wood.

This isn’t the first thing I’ve been sent by a company, but it is by far the coolest and most useful so far. Maybe I really am “grown” now or growing up in this blogging game at least.
